Session Policies
Transparency matters. Here are Mr. Kim's session policies so there are no surprises.
Session Length
All tutoring sessions have a minimum duration of 90 minutes. This ensures enough time for meaningful instruction, practice, and review — not rushed explanations.
Online vs Offline
Sessions are available online (Zoom) or offline (in-person). In-person sessions are only available to students within a 15-minute drive from Mr. Kim's location. In-person sessions include a $13 flat travel fee per session.
Absence Policy
If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, they will be charged 100% of the hourly rate for that session. The session slot was reserved and cannot be filled last-minute.
Exception to Absence Fee
The absence fee is waived if a parent or guardian note is submitted in advance of the session. Please always notify Mr. Kim as early as possible.
Why This Policy Exists
Mr. Kim limits his roster to ensure every student gets quality attention. A no-show takes a spot from another student who needed it. Respect for everyone's time is part of a professional tutoring relationship.
Availability
As of March 2026, Mr. Kim tutors 12–15 students per week. A small number of spots remain open for new students. Reach out today to check availability.
